Job summary

Morgan Properties is hiring an Assistant Service Manager to oversee maintenance teams and ensure the physical aspects of a 606-unit community meet company standards and laws. This full-time role requires hands-on leadership, on-call responsiveness, and strong trades knowledge.

You will mentor staff, manage schedules, and coordinate repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more while maintaining inventory and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate or equivalent education and experience.
• 2-4 years of related maintenance experience.
• Active and valid driver's license; HVAC/EPA/CFC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor maintenance team in diagnosing problems and repairs.
• Provide expert troubleshooting across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related trades.
• Establish an on-call schedule and be available for on-site emergencies.
• Manage and organize inventory of maintenance materials.
• Schedule preventive maintenance, make-ready tasks, and work orders.
• Regularly inspect community buildings and vacant units.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.
