Job summary

Morgan Properties in Dundalk, MD is seeking an Assistant Service Manager for our 565-unit community. In this full-time role, you will lead maintenance teams, schedule on-call coverage, and ensure properties meet company standards and safety regulations.

You will troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance systems, manage inventories, and coordinate preventive maintenance. The position offers competitive hourly pay, benefits, and growth opportunities within our expanding

Qualifications

Active and valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle.
HVAC/EPA/CFC certification preferred.
One-year certificate, 2-4 years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

Manage, develop, and mentor the team in diagnosing problems and making repairs.
Provide expert knowledge and troubleshooting for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, and appliance repair.
Establish and manage 24-hour on-call schedule for the team and be available for emergencies.
Manage and organize inventory of maintenance materials.
Set up on-call, preventive maintenance, make-ready, and work-order schedules for the team.
Regularly inspect community buildings, including vacant units.
Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.
