Job summary

Perkins American Food Co. in Brainerd, MN, seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations, drive sales and profits, and enforce policies and standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

You will lead restaurant staff, manage scheduling, training, and recruitment, ensure food safety and proper portioning, and uphold safety, sanitation, and cost controls. The role offers growth and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years supervisory experience in food service.
• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, guests and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower.
• Achieve planned profit levels while ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.
• Handle cash, credit, gift cards and all payment-related tasks.
• Plan staffing and training, including recruitment and new-hire orientation.
• Attends university/education programs and maintains ServSafe certification.
• Ensure menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented safely and correctly.
• Monitor food temperatures to prevent foodborne illness and maintain safety.
• Schedule and manage staff to meet productivity and service standards.
• Oversee facility and equipment maintenance, safety and sanitation.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls to reduce waste.
• Prepare and review financial reports and operate within budgets.
