Job summary

Rod 'N' Reel Resort seeks a motivated Assistant General Manager to support daily hotel operations and drive exceptional guest experiences. Lead Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Facilities functions while developing team members and upholding quality standards across the property.

You will work with the General Manager to optimize guest satisfaction, financial performance, and operational excellence, including evenings, weekends, and peak periods as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading hotel or hospitality teams
• 2+ years supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards
• Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Facilities.
• Provide visible leadership and support to hotel operations teams.
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop staff.
• Assist department leaders with performance management and engagement.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and standards.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to maintain cleanliness and quality.
• Respond to guest concerns and service recovery promptly.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and online reviews for improvements.
• Manage labor costs and departmental expenses.
• Review occupancy forecasts to plan staffing and resources.
• Collaborate with Facilities and Maintenance on repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulations.
• Support emergency response procedures and operational incidents.
• Participate in leadership meetings and resort initiatives.
• Provide coverage during evenings, weekends, holidays as needed.
• Partner with General Manager to achieve departmental goals.
