Mercy Housing is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for an on-site role at The Manzanita in San Leandro. You will assist the Property Manager with daily operations, resident services, and coordination with front desk and maintenance teams.

The ideal candidate has HUD/Tax Credit experience and strong customer service skills. This position offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package, with opportunities for growth within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of administrative, office, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of HUD and Tax Credit housing laws.
• Familiarity with real estate property management applications.

Responsibilities

• Enter data in resident accounts receivable ledgers.
• Assist with resident records documentation.
• Collect rent and other income, make bank deposits, and forward receipts.
• Assist with leasing from initial application to move-in.
• Respond to customer service requests.
• May work outside normal business hours to respond to the property's needs.

The successful Assistant Property Manager will work with the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property. Strong understanding of HUD and Tax Credit experience are essential. You'll provide customer service to residents and visitors, and take the initiative and provide direction to staff. Work with the Front Desk and Maintenance site teams and coordinate resident engagement and events.

This is an on-site position. The Manzanita is an affordable housing apartment community in San Leandro.

Pay: $26.51-$30.15/hour, dependent on experience.
