Job summary

POAH Communities is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager at Fairweather Apartments in Salem, MA. You will assist with day-to-day operations, leasing activities and ensure HUD/state housing program compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with government-assisted and subsidized housing programs.
• Certified as Tax Credit Specialist and/or Certified Occupancy Specialist.
• Hands-on experience in day-to-day operations, maintenance programs, marketing and leasing activities, occupancy and annual tenant certifications.
• Strong verbal, written and customer service communication; computer proficiency (MS-Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with Yardi software.
• Ability to envision and create, with manager, a harmonious atmosphere for residents and staff.
• Flexibility, positive attitude, team orientation and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HUD/state housing program alignment and compliance.
• Guarantee all regulations are in place for safety and health.
• Prepare contracts and include engineering specifications for major repairs.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local laws.
• Assist in collecting rents and processing move-ins/outs in Yardi; annual and interim certifications.
• Collaborate with office and maintenance staff.
