Job summary

Fairstead seeks an Assistant Property Manager to join our affordable housing portfolio. This role supports daily property operations, coordinates leasing activities, and assists in ensuring HUD compliance and resident satisfaction.

The position involves administrative duties, financial tracking, and coordinating with on-site maintenance to deliver exceptional resident service. We value a proactive, team-oriented approach and knowledge of Yardi/RealPage systems.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in affordable housing leasing or property management.
• Knowledge of local residential market.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to learn and work with property management applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Property Manager to ensure HUD 4350.3 compliance.
• Coordinate lease renewals and administer evictions when needed.
• Prepare property for REAC reviews and other compliance inspections.
• Track arrears and follow up with tenants per policy.
• Oversee rent collection, postings, and deposit daily.
• Respond to resident questions, complaints, and requests promptly.
