Job summary

Avenue5 Residential in Houston seeks an Assistant Property Manager to support the property manager in daily operations, drive resident satisfaction, and handle full lifecycle activities from leasing through renewals.

You will maintain rent rolls, assist with financial reporting, and help train staff. This role emphasizes high service standards, compliance with company policies, and collaboration with property teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two to three years of property management experience required.
• Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.
• Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
• Prior experience with Yardi Voyager or equivalent system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the property manager in day-to-day operations to support resident satisfaction and full lifecycle activities.
• Maintain accounts receivable including rent collection, posting, daily deposits, and rent roll accuracy.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly financial and leasing reports.
• Audit lease agreements and resident files for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with training staff on leasing, marketing, maintenance, and office operations.
