Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Surprise, AZ to support the property manager in daily operations, resident relations, leasing, and reporting. You will help manage vendor contracts, financials, move-ins/outs, and ensure a high standard of service for residents and owners.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in property management, a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred), and familiarity with Yardi Voyager or similar systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of property management experience required.
• Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.
• Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
• Prior experience with Yardi Voyager or similar system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the property manager in day-to-day operations of the property.
• Manage resident satisfaction, retention, and full lifecycle activities.
• Maintain accounts receivable, collect rent, post rent, balance rent roll.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly financial and leasing reports.
• Audit lease records and resident files for accuracy.
• Assist in move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.
• Assist in training staff on leasing, marketing, and operations.
• Prepare routine correspondence and notices.
• Support resident relations and issue resolution.
• Step in for the property manager in their absence.
