Job summary

Abbey Residential is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join the Briar Forest community in Houston, TX. This full-time hourly role focuses on income collection, resident relations, and leasing activities to promote occupancy and retention while adhering to Fair Housing laws.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of assistant property management experience, strong communication skills, and reliable time management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of assistant property manager experience.
• Onesite experience strongly preferred but previous experience with another property management software is applicable.
• Valid Driver's license
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Skilled in time management and critical thinking
• Understanding of Fair Housing laws

Responsibilities

• Income Collection: Update rents, deposits and application fees daily; issue notices when necessary.
• Actively pursue recovery of delinquent monies in accordance with state and local laws.
• Ensure proper handling and scheduling of evictions and skipped units.
• Resident Relations: Provide quality customer service to residents.
• Inspect move-outs and vacancies when requested.
• Attend resident retention activities as required.
• Marketing: Must be knowledgeable of all leasing phases and resident retention; work with lease renewals each month.
