Job summary

Abbey Residential Services, Inc is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for the Abbey at Briar Forest in Houston, TX. This full-time on-site role requires at least 1 year of assistant property management experience and a preference for Ons​ite software familiarity.

A valid driver’s license and strong communication skills are essential. The position involves income collection, resident relations, and marketing activities to support leasing and retention efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of previous assistant property manager experience.
• Onesite experience strongly preferred but previous experience with another property management software is applicable.
• Valid Driver's license
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Skilled in time management and critical thinking
• Understanding of Fair Housing laws

Responsibilities

• Update on a daily basis all rents, deposits and application fees received from residents. Issue appropriate notices when necessary (e.g., late payments, eviction notices, returned check memos).
• Actively pursue recovery of delinquent monies in accordance with state and local laws.
• Ensure proper handling and scheduling of evictions and skipped units.
• Provide quality customer service to all prospective and existing residents.
• Inspect move-outs and vacancies when requested.
• Attend resident retention activities as required.
• Must be knowledgeable of all phases of leasing and resident retention.
• Work with lease renewals each month.
