Job summary

Southern Management Companies seeks a Property Manager Assistant to support the property manager in overseeing community operations, team development, and policy compliance.

You will lead by example, deliver high levels of customer service to residents and staff, assist in hiring, training, coaching, budgeting, leasing and daily on-site management, while staying current with industry trends and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduation from The Southern Difference Institute or equivalent combination of education and property management experience.
• Three years of experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or real estate.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and build positive relationships with team members, customers, and vendors
• Provide high levels of customer service to all customers and team members
• Assist in hiring, training, coaching, counseling and managing of team
• Ensure Southern Management policies, procedures, and internal quality control standards are upheld at all times
• Demonstrate behaviors that cultivate a positive work culture and align with Southern Management's mission, vision, and values
• Assist in preparation of annual budget and community plans
• Assist in management of all day-to-day operations on-site
• Support all marketing and sales efforts
• Perform leasing, service coordination, administrative, bookkeeping and collection duties, as necessary
• Respond in emergency situations, as needed
• Stay abreast of industry trends
• Contribute to community/company engagement efforts
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor
