Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the PMO in quoting, executing, and closing Load Bank projects, while providing technical expertise to sales and operations. You may perform field support, site walks, and administrative tasks to ensure timely, accurate project outcomes.

The role requires five+ years in power distribution, formal electrical training, and strong communication skills. Travel ~5% and proficient use of MS Office are expected.

Qualifications

• Five+ years experience in power distribution/generation with load banks.
• Formal Electrical Training is required.
• PM Certification preferred.
• Willingness to learn business applications and fleet capabilities.
• Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Sunbelt policies and procedures.
• Attend project/PMO meetings and document discussions, actions.
• Review RFQs for completeness and urgency; ask questions as needed.
• Support sales/ops with level 1-2 service requests.
• Review project designs, schedules, and drawings for accuracy.
• Assist PMs with logistics RFQs, planning and execution.
• Perform project data entry in ERP (quotes, contracts, orders, POs).
• Maintain PMO project tracker updates as provided by PM/OSR.
• Submit and refresh profitability analyses per policy.
• Comment on project sales proposals as requested.
• Generate OPS and PUN documents.
• Submit leadership approval requests per policy.
• Review HALT reports for vendor invoicing.
• Generate purchase orders as approved by PMO.
• Assist PMs with budget logs and change orders.
• Schedule freight deliveries and manage 3rd party drivers.
• Conduct site walks/visits as needed.
• Assess equipment needs with Fleet Manager and propose alternatives.
• Create new project folder sets using PMO structures.
• Create project form templates and assist PMs.
• Retain key docs per PMO retention policy.
• Assist PMs and Sales with timely customer communications.
• Provide information to OAA, OSR, and Technicians for communication.
• Gather and report billing support documentation.
• Assist PMO in monitoring/control/reporting tools.
• Assist Fleet Management with equipment planning.
• Learn cross-training and provide coverage as requested.
• Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement discussions.
