Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support PMO activities, assist with quotes, execution, and closeout of Load Bank projects, and provide field and office assistance to ensure timely, compliant project outcomes.

You will coordinate schedules, budgets, procurement, and reporting while maintaining strong customer and team communication. This role requires five years in power distribution or generation, formal electrical training, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in power distribution/generation with load banks, power distribution and generation equipment.
• Formal Electrical Training completed.
• PM Certification preferred.
• Technical aptitude and ability to learn business applications and fleet capabilities.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel overnight about 5%.

Responsibilities

• Attend project and PMO discussions and document actions, noting important elements for review.
• Review RFQs for completeness and urgency; ask sales for critical missing details and assumptions.
• Assist sales and operations with level 1 and 2 service requests as appropriate.
• Review project solution designs, schedules, drawings for errors and needed details.
• Generate and manage project-related OPS and Pickup Notes (PUN).
• Schedule freight deliveries and manage 3rd party drivers and resources.
• Maintain project data in the ERP system (quotes, contracts, orders).
• Support PMO with budget logs, change orders, deadlines, and deliverables.
