Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction in Dallas, TX seeks an Assistant Project Manager to join our Large Projects Group. The APM will support the Project Manager in coordinating resources, schedules, budgets, procurement, and contract administration for landmark projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth market.

The role emphasizes helping manage submittals, change orders, vendor relations, and closeout activities while upholding our Safety/Zero Harm culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
4 years of experience working on projects of various sizes.
Experience with project management software (Procore, P6, etc.).
Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports.
Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction application(s).

Responsibilities

Assist Project Manager to determine resources needed for each project and coordinate who will provide them.
Assist with preparation of project budgets, cost projections and schedules.
Support with preconstruction activities, bid packages, subcontract scopes of work, and change control.
Ensure paperwork from subcontractors and suppliers is timely and complete.
Maintain safety, quality control, and compliance with company policy during project execution.
Attend planning, progress, and closeout meetings and monitor changes affecting schedule and cost.
