Job summary

Clark Bros, Inc. in Fresno, CA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil construction projects.

You will assist with schedules, cost controls, procurement, subcontract coordination, contract administration, and client relations to ensure safe, on-time, within-budget project delivery. You will work closely with the Project Manager, engineers, and field staff, reviewing cost reports, managing changes, and communicating project status to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent practical construction experience may be considered.
• Experience supporting management of construction projects, including scheduling, cost controls, procurement, subcontract administration, and contract documentation.
• Familiarity with reading plans, specs, contracts, and general conditions.
• Knowledge of procurement, subcontractor management, and closeout procedures.
• OSHA 30-hour training preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of assigned heavy civil projects from startup through closeout.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Superintendent for objectives, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Develop and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Monitor progress against schedules and budgets; identify delays or cost overruns and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare, review, and administer subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Maintain communication with client, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Lead project meetings, track actions, and provide project updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly owner billings and subcontractor payments; support cash flow and financials.
