Job summary

Clark Bros Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in planning, coordination, execution, and successful completion of heavy civil construction projects in California.

You will help manage schedules, costs, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and client relations while upholding safety standards and contractual commitments. The role requires leadership, organizational skills, and a solid grasp of construction operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, preferably heavy civil, renewable energy, water infrastructure, or power infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience supporting management of construction projects, including project scheduling, cost controls, procurement, subcontract administration, and contract documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent practical construction experience considered.
• Knowledge of procurement, subcontractor management, and construction closeout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall management, planning, coordination, and execution of assigned projects from startup through final closeout.
• Develop and maintain understanding of prime contract, subcontract agreements, plans, specs, drawings, and general conditions.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Superintendent to establish objectives, schedules, budgets, manpower, and equipment needs.
• Monitor project progress against schedules and budgets, identify delays or cost overruns, and assist in corrective actions.
• Prepare and review monthly owner billings, subcontractor payments, and related documentation.
