Job summary

LJA Land Development is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support delivery of public infrastructure projects while continuing hands-on engineering work. You will bridge project engineering and project management, coordinating with project managers, design teams, and clients on water and wastewater systems, drainage and local infrastructure.

• 4+ years of engineering experience in civil field.
• Minimum 1 year as Project Engineer.
• Experience with water, wastewater, drainage or local infrastructure projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
• PE license in Texas is required.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager with proposals, delivery, scheduling, billing, and client coordination.
• Perform Project Engineering responsibilities, including Engineer of Record when assigned.
• Assist with and learn project management aspects of project delivery.
• Develop initial design approaches for major phases of large projects.
