Job summary

LJA Land Development is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support public infrastructure projects, bridging project engineering and management, coordinating with project managers, design teams, and clients.

This role offers hands-on engineering work and exposure to a broad range of water, wastewater, drainage, and local infrastructure projects, with opportunities to grow into a full Project Manager role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of civil engineering experience.
• PE license in Texas.
• Experience with water, wastewater, drainage, or local infrastructure projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager with proposals, project delivery, scheduling, billing, and client coordination.
• Perform Project Engineering responsibilities, including serving as Engineer of Record when assigned.
• Assist with and learn the project management aspects of project delivery.
• Develop initial design approaches for major phases of large projects or manage engineering work on smaller projects with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with internal design teams to support timely and accurate project execution.
• Supervise and mentor less experienced engineers and technical staff.
