LJA Land Development in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to guide initial design approaches for major phases of large projects. You will oversee engineering work and contribute to site design, infrastructure planning, and coordination with teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of post-graduate experience, a BS in Civil Engineering, and strong communication skills. PE licensure is preferred; experience with AutoCAD is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
• 5+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Reviews of contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications; able to evaluate information during construction.
• Strong communication skills; ability to build strong relationships.

Responsabilités

• Conceptualize the initial design approach for a major phase of a large project or oversee the engineering work on a project of limited scope.
• Develop working drawings for civil site plans (layout, plan and profile, grading, drainage, paving).
• Plan and design facility layout and site design projects.
• Possess drainage design experience; Cascade 2001 and/or ICPR Version 4 experience preferred.
• Supervise less experienced engineers or technical staff on assignments as needed.
• Coordinate with internal clients to gather information and drive engineering solutions.
