Job summary

Michael Page US is recruiting a capable Construction Coordinator to assist Project Managers in the day-to-day oversight of commercial construction projects in Greater Boston and surrounding areas.

You will coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, manage documentation, and support budgeting and scheduling to ensure on-time delivery of projects ranging in size and complexity.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience with a commercial GC or construction management firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field is preferred.
  • Experience supporting multifamily/public/educational or similar projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day management from preconstruction to closeout.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, minutes, and reports.
  • Support budgeting, cost tracking, scheduling, and forecasting efforts.
  • Monitor progress and help identify solutions to meet schedule and budget targets.
  • Collaborate with field teams to ensure quality standards and milestones.

Job Description

  • Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day management of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the construction process
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project reports
  • Support budgeting, cost tracking, scheduling, and forecasting efforts to help ensure successful project delivery
  • Monitor project progress and help identify solutions to maintain schedule and budget objectives
  • Collaborate with field teams to ensure quality standards and project milestones are achieved
  • Participate in client, subcontractor, and internal project meetings
  • Assist with procurement activities and subcontract administration
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and project partners

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-3 years of experience working for a commercial General Contractor or Construction Management firm
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • Experience supporting commercial construction projects valued from several million dollars and above
  • Exposure to multifamily, public, municipal, educational, healthcare, assisted living, or similar project types preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Desire to learn, grow, and advance into a Project Manager role
