Job summary

Michael Page US is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a growing commercial contractor in the Southeast. The role supports municipal, industrial, hospitality, and higher education projects from planning through closeout.

You will coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and field teams, manage submittals and change orders, and track costs to support reporting and forecasting. A 2+ year background and degree are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction project management or project engineering.
  • Experience supporting ground-up construction projects.
  • Exposure to municipal, higher education, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, or similar commercial sectors preferred.
  • Understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction project management or project engineering.
  • Experience supporting ground-up construction projects.
