Job summary

Jobot in Greater Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our construction teams on commercial and multi-unit projects from tender through substantial completion. The role offers hands-on involvement and room to grow within a well-established GC/CM firm.

You will assist with budgets, schedules, change orders, site meetings and documentation, ensuring safety standards and proactive communication with clients and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in construction project management or a related role.
• Exposure to managing or assisting on commercial or multi-unit construction projects.
• Basic understanding of construction methods, contracts, and project delivery.
• Familiarity with Procore, MS Project, or similar project management tools.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in the planning and execution of projects from tender through substantial completion.
• Assist with budget tracking, schedule updates, and change order processing.
• Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Attend site meetings, take minutes, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Support compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in maintaining client relationships through clear and timely communication.
• Help identify and elevate project risks to the Project Manager as needed.
