Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services is seeking an Assistant Program Director to support daily administration, programming, and operations of a community-based developmental services program. You will model professional behavior, supervise staff, and advocate for individuals while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires MAP, CPR/First Aid, and Safety Care certifications, a GED or high school diploma, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required. College degree may substitute for 1 year of human service experience.
• Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification required; recertification every two years.
• CPR & First Aid (SFA) certification required; must be certified within 30 days.
• Safety Care certification required; must become certified within 90 days.
• Current driver’s license, clean driving record, and one year driving experience.
• Reading, writing, and communication skills and basic computer literacy required.
• Physical capability to perform necessary lifts or restraints.
• Use of personal cell phone and/or vehicle for program needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day administration, programming, and operations of the developmental service program(s).
• Model and teach professional and community behavior; supervise staff as assigned.
• Attend and facilitate staff meetings; participate actively.
• Ensure safety and apply crisis intervention as needed; support individuals’ ISPs and progress notes.
• Coordinate and accompany individuals to appointments; advocate for their needs.
• Maintain program documentation and financial records as required.
