Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services in Massachusetts seeks an Assistant Program Director to support day-to-day administration, programming, and operations of developmental services programs. This non-exempt role reports to the House Manager or designee, with a focus on advocacy and leadership.

The position requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, MAP certification or ability to obtain, and CPR/First Aid, with Safety Care certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma required; college degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.
  • CPR & First Aid (SFA) certification is required; MAP certification for medication administration is required or must be obtained within 6 months.
  • Safety Care certification required within 90 days of hire; Driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Adequate reading, writing, communication, and computer literacy to perform agency functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day administration, programming, and operations of developmental services programs.
  • Supervise staff as assigned and model professional conduct.
  • Maintain program documentation: daily progress notes, incident reports, ISP documentation, and financial documentation.
  • Coordinate appointments and advocate for individuals’ needs with other agencies.
  • Support safety procedures, crisis assessment, and intervention as needed.
