University of Miami is seeking an accomplished pathologist with hematopathology expertise to lead diagnostic services across the pathology department. The role includes patient care at UMH and affiliated sites, teaching residents and students, and participating in collaborative research.

Applicants should be MD/DO trained, board-certified/eligible in AP/CP, and certified or eligible in hematopathology. The position emphasizes quality improvement and regulatory compliance within a hospital

Qualificações

• Strong expertise in hematopathology and diagnostic pathology.
• Experience with quality-improvement methods in a team-based model.
• Teaching and training residents, fellows and students.
• Knowledge of JCAHO, CAP and CLIA regulations.
• Ability to work independently and make diagnostic recommendations.

Responsabilidades

• Patient care services at UMH, JMH and satellites.
• Microscopic examination of hematologic specimens and reporting findings.
• 24-hour call coverage as assigned.
• Contribute to education of residents, fellows and medical students.
• Collaborate on clinical/research projects and seek grant funding.
• Participate in daily quality assurance and hospital committees.
• Maintain accreditation standards for pathology department.
