Job summary

The University of Miami invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Clinical - Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (Anatomic). The successful candidate will hold MD or DO, be board eligible/certified in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology, with hematopathology expertise, and be committed to resident and fellow education.

Responsibilities include patient care at UMH/JMH and satellites, microscopic hematology exams, 24-hour call coverage, participation in teaching and collaborative research,

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, or both
• Hematopathology expertise required
• Experience with quality-improvement methods and team-based care

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care at UMH, JMH and affiliated satellites.
• Perform microscopic hematologic examinations and report findings.
• Attend 24-hour on-call coverage as assigned.
• Educate residents, fellows, and medical students; participate in research.
• Engage in daily quality assurance and accreditation activities.
