Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to support the Production Manager in organizing and supervising the Production Department. This exempt role involves hiring/training staff, performance evaluations, and ensuring production quality, safety, and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, and daily operational planning skills to help drive efficient production in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
• Recognize colors, sizes, and types of products.
• Count, add, and subtract accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; strong time management; team player.

Responsibilities

• May hire and train new staff or assist management with this process.
• Conducts or assists with performance evaluations as requested by the Manager.
• Assists with employment actions including discipline and termination per company policy.
• Monitors and recommends changes to improve labor utilization, production efficiency, and department expenses.
• Conducts new hire and ongoing training in all production departments.
• Communicates with engineering, sales, and service management to ensure smooth plant operation.
• Executes company production policies, procedures, and standards.
• Monitors production, quality, housekeeping, and safety standards.
• Ensures adherence to department budgets, and handles hiring, discipline, and employee relations.
• Follows written and verbal instructions, attends meetings, and performs other tasks as directed.
