Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Orlando, FL is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to support the Production Manager in organizing and supervising work in the Production Department. The role involves training staff, evaluating performance, and enforcing safety and quality standards to maintain efficiency.

You will collaborate with engineering, sales, and service management to ensure smooth plant operations, stick to company policies, and help manage department budgets while fostering a productive team

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• May hire and train new staff or assist management with this process.
• Conducts performance evaluations as requested.
• Assists with employment actions, including discipline and termination by company policy.
• Monitors and recommends changes in work methods and/or equipment usage to improve labor utilization, production efficiency, and department expenses.
• Conducts new hire and ongoing training in all production departments.
• Consults with engineering, sales, and service management to ensure smooth operation of the plant.
• Executes company production policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensures production, quality, housekeeping, and safety standards are met.
• Adheres to department budgets and handles hiring, discipline, and employee relations.
• Follows written and verbal instructions, attends meetings, and performs other tasks as directed by supervision.
• May work with and support other branch personnel as required by supervisor.
