Alsco Uniforms in Lanham, MD is seeking a Production Manager to organize and supervise the Production Department under the General or Operations Manager. The role focuses on boosting labor utilization, efficiency, and cost control while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The position requires leadership to train and develop staff, oversee budgets, and ensure compliance with company procedures. It entails coordinating with engineering, sales, and service management to keep the plant

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of business management experience in a production environment with strong supervisory and management skills.
• Good organizational skills and time management.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
• Recognize colors, sizes and types of product; color and size accuracy is important.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; team player.

Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise work in the Production Department.
• Lead, train, and supervise Production staff; oversee new hire training.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and service management for smooth operations.
• Ensure production policies, procedures and standards are followed.
• Set and monitor production, quality, housekeeping and safety standards.
• Develop department budgets and handle hiring, discipline, and employee relations.
• Follow instructions and participate in meetings as directed.
