Job summary

AEG is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to inspire and support the team, deliver excellent patient care, and drive meaningful business results. This hands-on role focuses on daily operations, patient flow, and cross-functional support across practice functions.

You’ll learn multiple practice positions, collaborate with leadership, and help uphold service standards in a fast-paced patient care environment. This full-time on-site role offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Optical, healthcare, retail, or comparable service/operations experience required.
• Experience in one or more optical or practice functions preferred (patient care coordination, optical sales, front desk operations, etc.).
• 1–2 years of leadership, lead, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership capability, possibly without formal title.
• Ability to learn and function across multiple practice positions to support patient care and operations.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations, patient flow, and service execution on the practice floor.
• Assist with onboarding, coaching, and team development under the Practice Manager.
• Coordinate patient care processes, front desk flow, and optical floor operations as needed.
• Review basic reporting and patient feedback with guidance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Serve as a point of contact in the Practice Manager’s absence and help with interviews and training.
