Job summary

AEG is seeking a Practice Manager to lead daily optical clinic operations, patient flow, staffing, scheduling, and service delivery. You’ll coach and develop the team, align staff with patient care standards, and partner with the Optometrist to ensure seamless clinical and business performance.

In this on-site role, you’ll translate performance data into action, manage priorities, and drive growth initiatives while upholding company policies and delivering an outstanding patient experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience in optical, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or a comparable service environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Education in business, hospitality, healthcare, optical, or management preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Eyecare or optical practice leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold team members accountable.
• Ability to analyze reports, trends, and performance data.
• Ability to collaborate with Optometrists and district leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily practice operations, patient flow, staffing, scheduling, labor planning, service execution, and operational consistency.
• Serve as the primary on-site floor leader supporting team alignment and patient needs.
• Establish clear expectations for staff and communicate daily priorities and standards.
• Partner with the Optometrist to support exam flow and clinical service alignment.
• Lead, coach, develop, recognize, and hold team members accountable for performance and care.
• Support new hire development, training, and adoption of systems and AI-enabled tools.
• Reinforce exceptional patient service behaviors and timely follow-up.
• Monitor patient feedback and trends to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Review results to identify performance gaps and opportunities; work with District Manager on growth.
• Communicate business priorities to the team, connecting results to behavior and care.
