Job summary

AEG is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to inspire and support the team, deliver exceptional patient care, and drive meaningful business results on-site. This developmental leadership role builds operational knowledge and readiness for expanded responsibility over time.

The role includes learning multiple practice functions, supporting patient care coordination, optical sales and service, and daily routines, with opportunities for growth and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in optical/healthcare/service operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily practice operations, patient flow, and team coordination.
• Assist across practice functions to support patient care and operational execution.
• Participate in interviews, onboarding, coaching, and team development as requested.
• Serve as designated practice point of contact in the Practice Manager’s absence when assigned.
• Collaborate with the Practice Manager and Optometrist on exam flow and patient handoffs.
