Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to support daily operations, patient flow, and team coordination on the practice floor. This hands-on role develops leadership skills, enhances patient care, and drives service delivery across multiple practice functions.

The role emphasizes accountability, compassion, and growth, with opportunities to learn, coach, and advance within the practice. On-site responsibilities include opening/closing routines and collaboration with clinicians.

Qualifications

• Optical, optometric, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or comparable service/operations experience required.
• Experience in optical or practice functions preferred (patient care coordination, optical sales, etc.).
• 1–2 years of leadership, lead, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership capability.
• Ability to learn and function across multiple practice positions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, service execution, and real-time practice needs.
• Learn and support key practice roles such as patient care coordination, optical sales and service, and frontline routines.
• Assist with onboarding, coaching, and staff development under the Practice Manager.
• Serve as designated practice point of contact in the Practice Manager’s absence when assigned.
