Job summary

AEG is hiring an Assistant Practice Manager to support the Practice Manager in delivering exceptional patient care and efficient daily operations. This hands-on leadership role focuses on developing people, coordinating teams, and ensuring smooth patient flow across optical and clinical functions.

You will work on the practice floor, learn multiple roles, and contribute to achieving meaningful business results while maintaining a patient-centered service environment.

Qualifications

• Optical, optometric, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or comparable service/operations experience required.
• Experience in one or more optical or practice functions preferred (e.g., patient care coordination, optical sales, clinical support).
• 1–2 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to learn across multiple practice positions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, and service execution.
• Work on the practice floor and assist across practice functions to support patient care and operational execution.
• Learn and support key practice roles such as patient care coordination, optical sales, technician/clinical support, and opening/closing routines.
• Assist with onboarding, coaching, and team development under the Practice Manager's direction.
• Serve as the designated practice point of contact in the Practice Manager’s absence when assigned.
