Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to inspire the team, deliver exceptional patient care, and drive meaningful business results on the practice floor. You will support the Practice Manager with daily operations, patient flow, and service execution.

This developmental role covers multiple practice functions, including patient care coordination, optical sales, technician support, and front desk operations, with opportunities to learn and advance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in optical or healthcare service preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn multiple practice positions to support patient care and operations.
• Demonstrated leadership capability may include peer training or coaching.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, and service execution.
• Work actively on the practice floor and assist across practice functions to support patient care and operational execution.
• Learn and support roles such as patient care coordination, optical sales and service, technician/clinical support, and front desk operations.
• Support assigned areas of responsibility based on practice needs and priorities.
• Help communicate daily priorities, role expectations, service standards, and operational focus areas to team members.
• Partner with the Practice Manager and Optometrist to support exam flow and team readiness.
• Reinforce patient-centered service behaviors and provide coaching or training reinforcement as needed.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and process improvements across the practice.
• Serve as a point of contact in the Practice Manager’s absence when assigned.
