Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to support daily operations, improve patient flow, and coach a diverse team to deliver outstanding care and create a positive patient experience.

On the practice floor, you will help coordinate patient care, optical sales and service, technician support, and handoffs, while partnering with the Practice Manager and Optometrist to optimize exam flow and team readiness, development, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical or practice functions such as patient care coordination or optical sales.
• 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to learn practice systems and workflow tools quickly.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with daily operations and patient flow.
• Assist on the practice floor across functions to support patient care and execution.
• Help with onboarding, coaching, and training reinforcement.
• Participate in interviews, onboarding, coaching, and team development.
• Serve as designated practice point of contact in the Practice Manager’s absence.
• Support exam flow and provider readiness.
• Identify service concerns and escalate appropriately.
