Job summary

AEG Vision seeks an Assistant Practice Manager to lead and support the team, deliver exceptional patient care, and drive meaningful business results. Qualifications

• Experience in optical, optometry, healthcare, retail, or comparable service/operations.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and willingness to develop others.
• Ability to learn across multiple practice positions to support patient care and operations.
• Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and follow-up in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, service execution, and real-time needs.
• Work on the practice floor and assist across functions to support patient care and staffing.
• Learn and support roles like patient care coordination, optical sales, technician/clinical support, and front desk operations.
• Support assigned areas of responsibility based on needs and routines.
• Communicate daily priorities, role expectations, service standards, and operational focus to the team.
• Partner with the Practice Manager and Optometrist to support exam flow and patient handoffs.
• Reinforce patient-centered service behaviors and timely follow-up.
• Assist with onboarding, coaching, and training reinforcement.
• Serve as the on-floor point of contact in the Practice Manager's absence when assigned.
• Participate in interviews and onboarding as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager.
