Job summary

AEG Vision in Lincoln, Nebraska, seeks an Assistant Practice Manager to inspire the team, deliver excellent patient care, and drive meaningful business results. This hands-on, developmental leadership role supports the Practice Manager with daily operations, patient flow, and service execution on the practice floor.

You'll collaborate across patient care coordination, optical sales, and technician support, helping coach staff, manage onboarding, and align with company initiatives while building

Qualifications

• Optical, optometric, healthcare, retail, or comparable service/operations experience required.
• Experience in optical or practice functions preferred, such as patient care coordination, optical sales, or front desk operations.
• 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to learn across multiple practice positions.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and support the team, deliver exceptional patient care, and achieve meaningful business results.
• Support the Practice Manager with daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, and service execution.
• Learn and support key practice roles across patient care coordination, optical sales, and clinical support.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and coaching within assigned areas.
• Review basic reporting and daily results to understand trends and improvements.
• Serve as practice point of contact in Practice Manager’s absence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
