Applegreen USA Welcome Centers in Cranbury, NJ, seeks an Assistant Plaza Director to support the Plaza Director in managing day-to-day operations of a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway.

You will lead a team of associates and managers to deliver fast, friendly service, maintain brand standards, and drive profitability, with responsibilities including staffing, customer satisfaction, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years in restaurant or retail leadership.
• Flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours/week including days/nights/weekends/holidays.
• Stand/walk for extended periods; lift at least 20 pounds.
• Comply with policies and laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plaza Director in day-to-day operations.
• Lead staff to meet sales, speed, satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality.
• Monitor progress toward financial and performance targets; support strategic changes.
• Ensure each food/beverage concept meets brand standards.
• Contribute to a culture of learning and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams across the plaza.
• Support supervision of plaza leadership and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and laws.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally.
