Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers in New Jersey seeks a Plaza Director to oversee a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, friendly service while achieving sales, speed, customer satisfaction, and food quality standards.

You will recruit and develop leaders, manage brand standards, ensure legal compliance, monitor finances, and partner with Brand, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities to maximize profitability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven success in multi-unit or big-box leadership.
• Flexible on-site schedule around 50 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand, walk, and lift at least 20 pounds; regular attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong cost control and quality standards are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to meet sales, speed, satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality.
• Monitor progress toward financial targets and implement changes to maximize performance and profitability.
• Ensure each food/bev concept adheres to brand standards.
• Maintain an engaging work culture with ongoing learning and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams across the plaza.
• Responsible for hiring, coaching, promotion, discipline, termination, transfers for plaza leadership.
• Supervise plaza leadership to meet goals and manage direct reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local/state/federal laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Work with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, Facilities & Maintenance.
• Build collaborative relationships with vendors and communities.
