Applegreen USA Welcome Centers is seeking an Assistant Plaza Director to help oversee daily operations at a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway in New Jersey. You will partner with the Plaza Director to lead a team of associates and managers, ensuring fast, friendly service and sustained profitability.

This role requires at least 3 years of leadership in restaurant or retail, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work a flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours per week

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of proven success in restaurant or retail leadership.
• Ability to work a flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours/week, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plaza Director in managing day-to-day operations and profitability of a multi-million-dollar travel plaza.
• Lead daily activities of staff to meet sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality/safety.
• Monitor progress toward financial targets and support strategic changes to maximize performance.
• Ensure food/beverage concepts adhere to brand standards.
• Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and staff development.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams and ensure adequate staffing across the plaza.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
