Airgas is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager in Charlestown, NH to oversee daily plant operations across industrial, specialty and medical gas filling segments. You will help manage cylinder processing, testing, and regulatory compliance while driving safety and efficiency.

The role requires at least 2 years in a leadership position in a manufacturing or distribution setting, plus strong leadership, communication, and analytical capabilities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role in manufacturing or distribution.
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage metrics to improve production efficiency.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent.
• Self-starter, well organized, able to work independently and in a team.
• Detail oriented with accurate handwritten compliance documentation.
• Dedication to product quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsabilités

• Supervises two or more associates involved in plant, QA lab, and/or drivers.
• Coordinates with other Plant Supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Promotes a strong safety and compliance culture and corrects unsafe acts or conditions.
• Assigns tasks to workers based on customer needs, stock levels, and expertise.
• Reviews production schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements; maintains records.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality, and efficiency.
• Trains new workers and cross-trains employees to cover shortages.
• Assists Plant Manager with planning and managing capital investments.
• Keeps inventory levels of supplies and equipment.
• Additional duties and projects as assigned.
