Job summary

Airgas is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager in Riverton, NJ to partner with the Plant Manager and supervises the daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. The role includes leading gas cylinder processing, coordinating with plant teams, and upholding regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a leadership role in manufacturing or distribution, strong analytical and communication skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a leadership role within manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong analytical skills and metrics-driven approach.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day plant operations in multiple segments.
• Lead gas cylinder processing, ultrasonic testing, and compliance activities.
• Supervise two or more associates and coordinate with other Plant Supervisors.
• Promote safety and compliance culture and address unsafe practices promptly.
• Plan production schedules and manage inventory levels.
• Assist Plant Manager with capital investments and budgeting.
