Airgas, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Plant Manager in Riverton, NJ to partner with the Plant Manager and leadership team to oversee daily plant operations, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and support production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use metrics to improve efficiency.
• Excellent oral and written communication; clear information flow.

Responsibilities

• Guides and supports a team of two or more associates involved in plant, quality lab, and/or driver activities.
• Coordinates with Plant Supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Promotes safety and compliance culture and addresses unsafe practices promptly.
• Aligns tasks with customer needs, stock levels, and team strengths.
• Maintains production records and studies schedules to estimate staffing needs.
• Ensures adherence to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Implements measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
• Supports planning and management of capital investments.
