Airgas in Riverton, NJ, seeks an Assistant Plant Manager to oversee daily plant operations, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and partner with the Plant Manager. You will supervise gas filling operations, production planning, and regulatory compliance to meet performance goals.

You will lead a team, coordinate with Plant Supervisors, and foster a proactive safety culture, while tracking metrics and supporting capital investments and inventory management to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a leadership role in manufacturing or distribution.
• Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and numeric skills with units of measure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of two or more associates in plant, QA lab, and/or drivers.
• Coordinates with Plant Supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Promotes safety and compliance culture and addresses unsafe practices promptly.
• Aligns tasks with customer needs, stock levels, and team strengths.
• Maintains production records and supports capital investments and inventory planning.
