Job summary
Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital is seeking an Assistant Nurse Operations Manager (ANOM) to oversee nursing practice and administrative operations within a designated unit. The role collaborates with the Nursing Operations Manager to ensure quality outcomes, budgeting, and staff development.
The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, with hours varying to meet patient care needs. Candidates should have RN licensure in Florida, a BSN at minimum, and 2 years of acute care
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Nursing required; BSN with graduate degree preferred.
- Current license as a registered nurse in Florida or via NLC.
- Minimum 2 years as an RN in an acute setting.
Responsibilities
- Shared 24/7 accountability with Nursing Operations Manager.
- Recruitment and selection of new team members for the unit.
- Coordinate with HR on corrective actions and career advancement.
- Investigate event reports and provide feedback to leadership.
- Oversee unit schedules to ensure proper staffing for patient care.
- Monitor patient flow and intervene to achieve outcomes.
- Lead or participate in staff meetings and huddles.
- Perform direct patient care as needed to meet operational needs.
