Job summary

Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital seeks a Nurse Manager to lead inpatient units and oversee operations with senior leadership collaboration. The role emphasizes quality, safety, staffing, and fiscal stewardship in a large regional health system.

Required BSN, Florida RN license, 2 years RN in acute care, 1 year leadership, BLS, and relevant certifications; MSN/DNP or graduate business health degree preferred. Excellent benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a BSN required.
• MSN, DNP, or BSN with graduate degree preferred.
• 2 Years as a registered nurse in an acute care setting. 1 Year leadership experience required.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• May require one or more of the following certifications based on the assigned patient population: ACLS, PALS, NALS, TNCC.
• National leadership board certification through ANCC or AONL within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for the inpatient direct care unit or units; achieve department and hospital goals with leadership teams.
• Oversee the Hospital Care at Home virtual nursing unit and collaborate with the Advanced Care at Home team.
• Manage hiring, development, mentorship, retention, supervision and productivity of staff.
• Develop and manage unit/department budget and respond to changing patient and team member requirements.
• Ensure customer experience, patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive process improvement, change management, and a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Support quality, patient safety, staffing, throughput, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Promote professional accountability and involvement in organizational activities.
