Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Operations Manager (ANOM) to lead a designated ICU unit with nursing practice and administrative oversight. You will partner with the Nursing Operations Manager on customer experience, budgets, HR processes, and quality outcomes.

The role is full-time, with hours that may vary by team needs. You will mentor staff, manage performance, and drive nursing excellence within a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Nursing Degree (BSN). Required or
• Bachelor in Nursing (BSN) with Graduate degree in Business or health-related field preferred.
• Masters in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Preferred
• 2 Years as a Registered Nurse in an acute setting. Required
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Florida or NLC. Required
• Maintain current BLS certification. Required
• ACLS/PALS/NRP/ TNCC required

Responsibilities

• Shared 24/7 leadership responsibility with Nursing Operations Manager.
• Participate in recruitment and selection of unit staff.
• Coordinate with HR on corrective actions and career advancement.
• Investigate event reports and provide feedback to leadership.
• Oversee unit schedules to ensure optimal staffing.
• Monitor patient flow and intervene to achieve outcomes.
• Lead rounds and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure exceptional patient and family experience.
• Lead staff meetings and promote teamwork and professional development.
• Provide direct patient care as needed to meet operations.
