Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, assisting in the hiring process, conducting evaluations, and managing departmental budgets to promote patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Nursing and be prepared to obtain a BSN within 3 years. Moreover, relevant certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE are required within stipulated timelines.

Qualifications

• 3 years of RN Maternal/Newborn experience is essential.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association is required within 6 months of hire.
• NRP and STABLE certifications required within 6 months of hire.

Overview

The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as an adjunct to the Nurse Manager or Nursing Director by providing supervision and clinical expertise to staff in his/her assigned area. Assists the Nurse Manager in hiring and firing of nursing personnel, conducting periodic employee evaluations, orientation of new employees, and performance improvement activities. Assists the Nurse Manager in devising and managing the departmental budget(s). Facilitates positive customer service and patient-centered care on the nursing unit.

3p-11p shift and call required

Qualifications

Required Education:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• BSN required within 3 years of hire.

Preferred Education: BSN

Required Licensure/Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS from the American Heart Association is required within 6 months of hire
• NRP is required within 6 months of hire
• STABLE within 6 months of hire

Required Experience:

• 3 years of RN Maternal/Newborn experience
